The following announcement is posted on the website of the Archdiocese of Westminster:
The Diocesan Mass for the Anglicanorum Ordinations will take place on 10 June 2011 at 5:30pm in Westminster Cathedral.
The Mass will see Gordon Adam, Peter Andrews, Timothy Bugby, Mark Elliott Smith and Antony Homer, members of the Personal Ordinariate of Our Lady of Walsingham, ordained into the Priesthood.
Archbishop Vincent Nichols will preside, along with Bishop Alan Hopes, Auxiliary Bishop of Westminster and diocesan priests from across the Diocese of Westminster.
The five new priests will serve as priests of the Ordinariate within the Diocese of Westminster.
The Revd James Patrick, who was ordained a deacon alongside his colleagues at Our Lady of Victories, Kensington in May will serve as a Permanent Deacon within the Ordinariate.
We probably won't be able to keep up with posts about all the ordinations taking place in England over these next weeks, but it's wonderful to see the announcements rolling out, one after another.
I ask out of curiosity — and perhaps someone in the Personal Ordinariate of Our Lady of Walsingham can comment — but I notice that the five Ordinariate priests will be serving in the Westminster diocese, presumably in existing diocesan parishes. Is there a plan for the Ordinariate to plant missions and parishes for the Ordinariate itself? I find the missionary possibilities to be among the most exciting aspects of the Ordinariates.

Fr. Christopher G. Phillips is the pastor of Our Lady of the Atonement Catholic Church in San Antonio, Texas, where he has served for the past twenty-seven years. He is the founding pastor of the first Anglican Use parish, erected in 1983 under the terms of the Pastoral Provision. Fr. Phillips was ordained as an Anglican for the Diocese of Bristol, England, in 1975. After serving as Curate for three years at St. Stephen Southmead, he returned to the United States and served in two Episcopal parishes in the Diocese of Rhode Island. In 1981 he left the Episcopal Church and moved with his family to Texas, where he was subsequently ordained as a Catholic priest in 1983. Fr. Phillips and his wife, JoAnn, have been married for forty years. They have five children, all grown and married, and two grandchildren.
