St. Mary of the Angels, Hollywood, California, has a distinguished history as a center for Anglo-Catholic worship and devotion. It was the site of many meetings which led to the establishment of the Pastoral Provision in the United States, and it has served as an inspiration to many of us who have found our home in the Roman Catholic Church, even though St. Mary's itself (through a series of difficult circumstances) had not made the move.
All that's about to change. A vote was taken today to decide if the parish will become part of the Ordinariate when it is established. The result was overwhelming — 82% of those eligible to vote are in favour of the move into the Ordinariate. Thanks be to God!
